The Alan Parsons Project - ????
Oh man, where do I start? , OK how bout,

1980's The Turn Of A Friendly Card
Prog Rock doesn't get any better than this.
At least until 2023 when Alan remixed it into 5.1 surround, WOW, what a great job.
Front 2.jpg

1979's Eve
Alan was on a great composing roll in the late 70s and thru the 80s
I do wish he would return to the early catalog items and remaster those in 5.1 or Atmos that he has so far missed.
This one "Eve" could make a great example of his surround mixing genius.

"A stunningly designed review of the greatest album cover designs, spanning the classic period from the 1950s to the 1970s, Album Cover Album first hit the bestseller charts in 1977. This led to the release of six follow-up hits, inspired a host of imitations, and generated a long-playing sub-genre in art and design publishing."

I practically turned the whole house upside down looking for my original issue of this "Album Cover Album" but no luck.

Didn't look thru whole thread but definitely was some good vinyl album art over the years, particularly in the 70s/80s :) One of my favorites

I remember finding a used copy at the record store minus the paper. Didn't buy it :)

No problem, it would be expensive to roll that one today.
But I can remember when ______________almost. LOL

Actually it was more expensive then, and we had some good Mexican connections, too. Inflation etc. I do have a coupla vinyls, tho.

I'll always have soft spot for The Rezillos. Great cover and some of the best basslines ever commited to vinyl ...

For some reason it's almost impossible to Google up an image of this cover. Has the internet really become so prudish? Good album and good cover.

I always admired Crass's iconography. Very savvy anarcho-syndicalist corporate branding. If that's not an oxymoron I don't know what is! Also Crass / Poison Girls ca. 1980 was (quite surprisingly) one of the best gigs I've ever been to ...
