Got a Wiim Amp but my PSA TV1513 sub will not go into standby and stay there... PSA TV1513 SUBWOOFER

For some reason, even when I turn the subwoofer OFF in the wiim app, it still stays powered on.
I swapped the subwoofer to another outlet and unplugged the RCA and it went and stayed in red (standby)
As soon as I plugged in the rca (from the wiim amp) into the sub, it went green and kicked on the wiim amp.

I am getting very frustrated at this shit. The subwoofer isn't even turned on in the app and its activating. I have the sub set to room size small, gain minimum, and crossover maxed (to disable it for the wiim to control)

PC - Magni Modi USB headphones
PC - HDMI into LG C3. HDMI arc into WIIM Amp. WIIM AMP into PSA subwoofer and Kef Q150.

I don't have the answer to your problem. But, maybe someone could help you if you told us what subwoofer you're using. Maybe post some pics of how everything is connected.

Maybe you could hold off until tomorrow and call WiiM Support. (in the USA: 510-385-3943) My guess is the WiiM App will not power off the sub woofer, just remove it from the output circuit.

Was on standby, cut itself on when putting PC into sleep mode
Woke up and it was still on 6 hours later.
Unplugged RCA, left house for work. Wife said it was in standby red mode.
Got home still in sleep mode (red)
Plugged in RCA into single input (top) it cut itself on automatically. Other end of RCA was unplugged from WIIM.

Keep in mind, all this was with the wiim app having subwoofer turned off.

I'd think you still have enough of a signal on the sub pre-out to trigger the sub's auto on circuit....have you tried lowering gain on the sub itself? Auto on circuits can be a pain.

From PSA site:

(subwoofer)
POWER SELECTOR SWITCH
ON = Turns on the subwoofer and leaves it on.
AUTO = Automatically powers up the subwoofer amplifer when a signal is sent from your receiver or processor. If a signal is not present for 20 minutes, the subwoofer amplifier is put into stand-by mode.
OFF/12V = The subwoofer amplifier is powered down, but can be acti- vated with a 12V trigger.

Trust this is of help....

I have had the damn gain on the sub all the way to minimum.

Also around 25% and 50%. It is crazy though that the subwoofer is "off" in the app and still receiving a damn signal.

That could point out an issue in the Wiim amp sub pre-out implementation perhaps. Then again just leaving a sub amp on isn't that horrible.

So I have cut it on 2x in a row by cutting on a light switch in the same room. Small room so I assume the lights and outlets are tied together.
The cord I am using is

I also tested with another single RCA to single RCA cable and it did the same.

The power cord runs by itself. The RCA only meets up with power cords by the WiiM.

There's likely some signal in the output of the wiim that is triggering the subwoofer. It could even be HF or out of band as subwoofer triggers aren't exactly sophisticated circuits generally. I'd put a 'scope on the wiim output to see what's going on.

I don't know if you saw the last post I had just made but the HSU vtf mk 5 isn't doing it at all.

I have on numerous occasions had the subwoofer kick on just by flipping the light switch. None of that causes the hsu to "wake up".

I do notice the HSU has a 3 prong plug in versus the 2 prong on the PSA.

Maybe try a smart plug/strip to turn on/off the subs when you want?

I reckon the PSA is defective, since you have tested your rig with the VTF Mk 5.

Stick with Dr. Hsu.
It definitely is an issue in here (computer room)

However it works perfectly fine in my front room connected to my AVR which is weird.
