Good Internet Radio Stations - Free & Commercial Free

As cool as Roon's "Radio" feature is for doing discovery, sometimes I enjoy having an actual DJ do selections and even talk a bit.

My local listener-supported jazz station, KCSM, has great DJs and great content. But the stream is 64kps AAC stream.

What are some good commercial free internet radio stations with both good content and good stream quality?

Classical and jazz are especially cool, but I'll listen to anything if the music is interesting.

We are not as blessed as you are in Bay Area with Jazz but we do have a "go to" station for Jazz and it is KUOW. Here are the ways to listen:

High bit rate is 96 Kbps MP3 which is not great but good.

They're always there with their tunes.

Looking at ShoutCast there are many more 320kbs feeds than in the past.

Listening to my browser worked great and the content was great, too!

Unfortunately none of the URLs they provide can be parsed by Roon.

A URL ending in MP3 or AAC. Some stations provide a URL ending in .m3u (playlist).

Just open the .m3u in notepad and pull out the URL from there. Here is the KUOW one for example:
