Nop, now it really is locked for editing. The opportunity to change the title and start post, I suspect, is available 24 hours.

But it is always possible to start new threads from different countries' food and dishes.:) But there should already be such in and of itself at ASR?

Matjessill comes originally from the Netherlands and the word comes from the Dutch name for the dish maatjesharing, a name that has developed etymologically from maagdenharing which means virgin herring. The herring that you can get in the Netherlands, Germany and Poland, among other places, differs from the Swedish in taste. It has a sharper fish taste and less spice taste. Dutch Matjesill is caught before it has received rum, hence the name.
