You're confusing the EPA-A250 with the EPA-100/100MK2. The 250 has dynamic damping based on the same principals as the 100, but it is not adjustable.
Ouch... REALLY ? That sucks then ... ; even the adjustability on EPA-100/100MK2 is not enough - as the Q of the dynamic damping counterweight is not adjustable, only the frequency.

The EPA500 series arms/wands also have fixed Q and frequency - but at least frequency can be lowered a bit if small weights are added to the suspended counterweight part. So, the EPA-250 appears to be the same in this regard

Thats my pioneer Elite Gear, i have c90/m90a. Definitely from Golden age of japanese audio.

Inside nichicon Muse capacitors for audio, nippon avf capacitors for audio, film capacitors, audio grade brass cap carbon resistors, ucon polypropylene capacitors (high grade caps seen in 9000usd vintage Denon dac), OFC wires made by Sumitomo and hirakawa.
Pioneer Elite c90a/m90a wasnt cheap back then. It cost 400.000 yen in japan, 2800 USD in USA. Its 6900 USD in today money.
Pioneer c90 preamp was praised in Stereo magazine as one of the Best from 80s

I must say i have made in japan fetish.

I am pretty sure it fate for you to buy that. I am after a Pioneer M-90 or M-91 (matches my C-90 preamp—which I really like
Yup its definitely worth it to get Pioneer Elite. I bought mine few years ago, it needed few repairs and it runs great. Sounding warm, soft, with nice detail.
