GGNTKT M3 yes M3 Formerly known as M2!

Sounds meaningless.
You are right subjective descriptions are pretty much useless, but the M3s have tremendous bass extension, never any sense of compression and a georgious tonality, voices for example are extremely natural sounding.
It is a superb speaker, which is easily accommodated within a room.

What am I missing here?
I guess the rear woofer is considered a different "way" from the front woofer. Since it is a cardioid design, the front and rear woofers aren't driven by the same signal. The rear woofer signal is delayed and attenuated relative to the front (with amounts that may be frequency dependent).

The front drivers are actually the ones that are delayed as they have to wait for the rear driver which is farther away from the listener. Not by much with this design, though.

The cardioid radiation pattern is created by cancelling the back wave. The sound wave output by the rear woofer is the polarity inverted version of the front wave. But since it takes some amount of time for the sound wave from the front woofer to reach the back, the back woofer signal therefore has to be delayed.

Model M3 has four independent DSP+Amp channels per speaker, but most presets create a 3 1/2 -way system, because the rear driver overlaps with the front ones in a certain frequency range.

The directivity pattern is a result of the wide front baffle, drivers position and filtering. There are different presets especially for the rear driver, so you have options to balance rear bass cancellation and bass headroom, depending on your room and speaker placement.

Thank you, @roland{at}GGNTKT, to ask, would you consider that the GGNTKT M1 with a pair of (active) subs/bases, such as the SVS 3000 Micro REvolution, would perform equally to the GGNTKT M3

It depends on what you are aiming for. If you're looking for raw SPL, you might end up with similar numbers. However, you won't have a cardioid dispersion pattern unless you have four subs. The biggest challenge is to seamlessly integrate the subs with the rest of the system, the same way as Model M3 does. It's not impossible, but it takes a lot of effort and experience to get to the same level.

Thank you, @roland{at}GGNTKT, Yes, the cardioid dispersion pattern needs to be considered, doesn't it, although with the M1 that would be <45hz, wouldn't it, and the Subs could be positioned to best integrate with the M1 for the Room, couldn't they? Do you mind further clarifying, especially 4 subs rather than 2 and why the M3 equals 4 subs....

Are you sure you know all the really cool things in your price range? I highly doubt it! Besides, not all really cool things are necessarily the most unattainable! Here's a suggestion: go listen to the Atlantis Lab AT31 (11,000€/pair)
