Well, that's a special topic. To put it simple, there are two ways to locate roomEQ/convolution, (a) within the speaker-electronics or (b) within the source. I'm not sure which way will be more accepted. On one hand, you need a source anyway and most of their hard- and software does already heavy pre-processing. Just take ROON (which we use ourself), which has very nice feature and an easy GUI for all of that. As for the speaker electronics we focus more on "lower level" feature like advanced (look-ahead) limiters, dynamicEQs, etc which could not be done within the source. Sure we can also do some room EQ within our software, but I think you would be better off going with your source if you can.
That's fine for people who only have 1 source, but no good if you have multiple sources, and things like vinyl, having it available after the source is very nice.

If your using vinyl do you need a highly accurate low distortion speaker? And if your then going to put it through A-D-C for DSP is there much point?
Always been curious about the seeming contradiction of vinyl enthusiasts wanting DSP??

Yes, why do you want to add room nodes on top.

Yes again. A good ADC/DAC is transparent, these speakers mandate the use of their DAC, so might as well get the most out of them.

Yes, there will be different presets, for 3-way, 2.5-way, cardioid, etc some of the do address the boundary effects.

Probable yes, but the prototype still lacks ist.

Thanks for the reply. Have you set a target price for the M2?

Regarding convolution, if it is done in software on a computer then sources such as radio, LP, tape, even CD will not benefit unless routed through the computer. Others have pointed this out already. So best to handle it in the speaker. Can the SHARC handle DRC?

Can you tell us the crossover frequencies and slopes from the 30 cm woofer to the 25 cm midrange?

Not yet. All I can say, that BOM + production costs is 2x Model M1, so expect a price point in that area.

Going multi source – although CD (ripped) und radio (streaming) is also digital and manageable for example within ROON – you need a pre-amp or hub anyway. As I said I would locate convolution within such a hub, pre-processor or pre-amp.

SHARC can technically handle such tasks (or even DIRAC), but you need a fitting software infrastructure.

No, not yet, as it's still in development. It will also depend on the pre-set, so expect different crossover-settings per mode. We use FIR target curves, so some filtering is not comparable with classic IIR slopes.

That looks super cool!
The M1 is superb, so I await the M2 with baited breath.
