I think you should use whatever language works for you to describe differences in what you hear. I'm not so sure there are consistent correspondences between use of the words and what people hear and feel but it's possible. I suspect suggestion plays into it. Perhaps that's how the correspondences you mention are established.I know words like "fluid, authority, more body etc." seem like typical snake oil salesmen vernacular, but how can I describe what im hearing otherwise. Especially if there are no established nomenclatures? And those "audiophile catchphrases" have established themselves in the community, because most people can link them to what they are hearing or feeling.
In any case, I think you profit from investigating where the perceived differences come from.
I didn't just mean the $1000 on the table if you can show it's due to amp topology because that's so unlikely. I mean you'll profit from a better understanding of how sound quality and equipment performance relate.
