that is very impressive


one thing is certain - when we have 100 kilowatt amps delivering 0.0001% THD @ 95% efficiency "audiophiles" will continue to claim their 3 watt amps with 3% THD and 1% efficiency are superior and that anybody who disagrees with them is "deaf" ...

Very very interesting, I’ll dig into this a bit deeper. As to the meaning of fully digital in an amplifier chip it is clear for me, might be different for others or amp marketing - if I can be implemented purely with logic gates and internal/external power FETs, no analog elements that operate in a linear regime such as opamps, mixers, etc. One might argue that the power stage and LC filter defeats the notion of pure digital and i do not disagree. The “digits” are still in the phase which is quantized with the pcm word. The issue is with the feedback though, i suspect Axign uses ADC to convert to the digital domain and run the correction stage in DSP
