Genelec setups in living rooms [how to]

Dear all,

As we are currently thinking about an update of our living room, I searched for inspiration to integrate the Genelec as nice as possible! Due to the shape it seems to be not so easy to integrate, however hopefully this thread will help.

Please don`t see this thread as a platform to discuss suboptimal placements/ speaker layouts etc., as everybody has different demands and priorities (especially in the living room area).

Thus, following some pictures I found and I also like to encourage you to share further pictures of Genelec setups in a living room environment.
Best would be that every post/ reply will include a picture!

Amazing brand. Nice photos. I like the look of most Genelec speakers, especially those in black (not the RAW finish).

Question. Why do you have the rears on there sides? Don't they have better dispersion upright?

Speaker porn…some pretty nice interiors, Genelec’s seem to fit very well in most of the photos. The G4’s are pretty high on my list for end all system.

I own G3 as well as G2 and actually consider to sell them for 8330 due to GLM. So why G4 and not 8340?

Following a nice picture of a 6040R setup, however I think this line is too expensive..

Have not really shopped the 8340, not sure I really need the features of a full on studio monitor. A lot may change as my schedule for the end all system is still at least 2-3 years off.

Yes mine are 8341.
I couldn't find the white stands. Am considering having them sprayed white. Thoughts?

Dispersion is very similar regardless of orientation for all 83x1 speakers. I chose to orient horizontally to obscure the rear controls and cabling where possible.

Have patience Pete. swmbo (she who must be obeyed) is not crazy about the looks or size of the G4’s, the 5’s would probably not even get a conversation. While she likes good sound, she would be prefer a speaker to look like furniture.
