Do you think they could be used with a listening distance of 3.8-3.9 feet? Also, could you hear any hiss/self-generated noise from the speakers? If yes, at what distance?

That's cutting it close for integration distance, but technically they're good from 1m (3.3 feet, roughly). No noticeable noise to speak of, no.
 
Does anyone know what room the following picture is from? If they're using the S360A for surrounds, what are they using for the LCR?

It is a live music venue in Tampere, Finland, called G Livelab. https://www.genelec.com/-/g-livelab-the-future-of-live-music-in-tampere-relies-on-genelec

1236A as main monitors, 1238A and S360 as front fills and delay lines. Setup is done only for live music, no multichannel at all. 9x 7380A as subwoofers. Sounds pretty d*mn good and it doesn't really matter which place you are sitting/standing, sound coverage is very uniform.
