Genelec Price Increase

Speaking of price changes, has Neumann lowered the prices on their gear? I see KH150’s selling for CAD$1865 (US$1365) here now…I swear they were about $2100 not that long ago. They’ve also got KH310’s for CAD$2665 (US$1950)….that seems like smokin’ deal to me.

FYI Studio Economik in Canada is having a Genelec megasale this weekend. Right now 8331As are $1875 CAD (about $1368 USD) and the newsletter indicated that the 8010AWM, 8331APM, 8330APM, and 8030CPM would all get up to 45% off sometime during the weekend. The deals are allegedly only for those models not for any other colors. "WM" is white and "PM" is the standard grey.

Yeah I couldn't resist and snagged a pair of 8331s for my desktop. I've been wanting to upgrade for a while and I was struggling to decide between the 8331s and the LS50 II Wireless, but at this price you get so much more value. Slightly smaller size + GLM + 3-way + a bit more SPL before major bass compression(8331, Kef LS50II) + better FR/directivity out of the box + Genelec's much better warranty, support, repairs, and reliability.

Just ask them for a quote to your zip code, and they reply pretty quickly. As I recall payment was via PayPal. I'm in the US.
