Sound quality comparison?

I can say that very, very many would be surprised what/how the Glm adjustments can do between these speakers in digital playback.

We are in an area where there is confusion for many people greater than the assumption of creating better quality as a concept to understand the nature of the playback properly.

Most people do not have enough word structures to articulate definitions.

If anyone from Genelec could clarify about the difference then the mistery would be solved

You're a broken record, you always repeat the same things.
You have every right to appreciate the speakers you own, but here we are on ASR and subjectivism always and only comes after objectivism.

I have said things that many people have no experience with. I myself have been wrestling with these for decades. My father once bought 8260 sam monitors for his living room when they came to the market in Finland around 2013. Since then, I have bought the same speakers myself. I have edited hundreds of different sound variants from both his and mine, both analog and AES/EBU digital. Since then, I have listened to many other sam family speakers. and now we play pop/rock and heavy music and classical music with these at home and at my friend's regularly, but the size of the speakers is now the master series, which many people don't know how they sound.

Many people have a lot of different ideas about these, which often means going blind without their own listening experiences. The master series wouldn't be sold if they weren't a diamond-hard, high-tech quality series.

If you're interested at all..

Call Genelec here in Iisalmi, Finland, and ask them about the differences in sound quality between the different models. I think you'll get a more detailed answer from them.

But ask questions very clearly. They may come up with more technical performance narratives than musical expression.

Flat sound is intended for studios, of course, this is self-evident, but for home use there are a million other variants available.

If Mort meant me. then I'm not talking nonsense at all! I take this very, very seriously and I know what I'm talking about.

The only challenge is to find out for yourself about the subject and make it super clear to yourself about the capabilities of the Genelecs, what they are capable of. The little Sam models are easy to test in more depth, and the bigger you go in the collection, many people quickly think of putting their finger in their mouth for a moment before thinking about it because there is no way to test them in practice at all.

These larger master series are not made specifically for hi-fi listening, and that's why they are kept quiet. But with Genelecs, it is admitted that true high-end enthusiasts have also bought numerous models for their homes. At least here in Finland.

Of course, different personalities affect that and the age distribution how active they are in sharing information about them with others. Old uncles often don't bother to tell anyone about them except to their family. I myself have no limits on speaking about any topic, so I try to be as direct, honest and natural as possible. Each in their own style.

Does anyone here have experience with Genelec speaker defects? Unfortunately, my 7350A subwoofer recently "died" (it powered off after a few seconds and appeared offline in glm). Unfortunately, sending it to the German distributor, Audio Pro, took a while because I had already thrown away the original packaging at the end of last year! My thinking was simple: Genelec always promotes its products with their reliability over decades of studio use, and for me, this setup is endgame. So why keep the packages?

Just one day after receiving my package the repaired subwoofer (new circuit board) was on its way back to me. Now everything is working perfectly again, but I'm a bit unsure about the warranty period. The 8331A's warranty has already expired, and the 7350A's will expire in three months.

I can still say that I don't care if someone/anyone ever buys these Genelec models for themselves. I don't benefit from them, and I don't get anything other than the story of hearing other people's thoughts, which is the most important information, or sharing information overall. Knowledge is important.

This is the great thing. So, a sharp understanding of many experiences grows, and it doesn't remain hidden from the lips to tell others about them either.

I advised you to open a thread on your speakers where you can post photos and measurements of your system, where you can compare different products.
Amirm will hardly have the possibility to measure them so you can do it at your home and in your environment.
Oddly enough if we look at the Genelec website we find new customer installations based on the The One line...
try to create an immersive system with your speakers...

My job is recession-proof, and I'm unlikely to change it again. The same goes for my condo. I realize that such fixed structures aren't for everyone — but they're important to me.

To send it in for service?

I simply had the illusion that this necessity would not arise (obviously a false assumption).

I have a garage full of packaging.

I don't have a garage, also am quite the opposite of a compulsive hoarder.

The 7350A came in a very unassuming box without the usual Genelec "inner box." So I used the packaging for an SVS subwoofer; it fit almost perfectly.

If you have no experience whatsoever with Genelec's Master series. I'm talking to you like a child who has too little understanding of the subject. The Ones series is a great product series, of course, but it is really limited in live sound reproduction. This doesn't seem to interest you at all?, which is also a key factor in sound reproduction, how live recordings should be heard with music.

I don't know Amir personally, and I have no business talking to him or even a millionth of a percent interest in the whole man. I don't even engage in man worship. I don't worship material either. Everything created by man with his hands and brain is a time-consuming commodity, but some products/manufacturers go much further into our future in time than others. It is more interesting to really understand from the right perspective how different technologies compete against each other and maximize the benefits in balance, because technology then enables a better soundstage than what, for example, passive speakers often give.

The goals on the speaker side must be to maximize madness and insanity and super intelligence, so that we can push technology forward as far as it is ever possible to implement with the limitations of human understanding. The limits are always set by stupider people and technology for all human creation. From one thing to another... I also recommend getting to know the HQ player software. It is also from here in Finland that this program was built and continues to be built for everyone's joy, including in recording studios. We here apparently have a high level of expertise in audio overall.

I'm not sure what you mean by "flight cases"
This is a flight case :

I think some of the Ones were shipped in those wooden crates
Not sure when and how many
But as you can see, they exist

As far as I know, Genelec also sells these different carrying cases, bigger ones? At least they do for the Ones series.
I've never bought one myself, but I know a guy who bought a separate carrying case from them for his little Genelec.

The 8361As that I had on trial for over a month arrived via courier in cardboard boxes and were shipped from my home that way.
