Genelec 8320 or 8330, with 7350 sub?

Is it worth spending the extra £200 per monitor and getting the 8330 over the 8320?
I'm matching with a sub, so will I gain much benefit from the 10hz (or so) extension from the 8330?

I'm using these for mixing/mastering in a semi treated room.

Or is worth getting two 8340 without a sub?

Seeing the distorsion measurements from the 8030 and the generally reduced linear distorsion, I'd say "yes".

Yeah. The 8030C distorting massively under 100 Hz at 96 dB SPL makes me say the 8330A is a safest bet. And the raw response is simply better in the 8x30 than the 8x20.

Is the 8030 the same as the 8330, just without the GLM compatibility?

I own 8320s and 8330s. For near field listening a sub is not necessary. I prefer the 8320s to be honest though some may find them a bit lacking in the bass. The 83xx series feature dsp equalization, phase alignment of the tweeter and woofer, improved dispersion, and GLM compatibility.

What do you prefer about them specifically?

Yes and no. The enclosure and drivers are the same, but the 83xx uses DSP to implement the crossover and do some frequency and (maybe?) phase correction; and supports GLM, of course.

I find the smaller driver to give a faster and more punchy presentation. The 8010s which I've owned are not comparable in my opinion. In addition I'm sensitive to reflections and bass resonance and in an untreated room, which mine is, the reduced bass response is preferable. The ideal setup with these is to have them just a couple inches from the rear wall and at a near field distance.

It would be interesting to see @amirm measure the 8330 to see if distortion figures are the same as on 8030.

We might deduce how it is for the rest of the range: 8350 VS 8050, etc.

I’m really not sure how to enter the Genelec lineup...
I’m torn whether to get smaller monitors and a sub, or get bigger monitors without the sub.
The larger monitors (8340) requires more of an upfront investment where I can get the sub at a later date with the smaller pair.
That being said I feel like I might get better quality with the bigger woofers, but I’m not sure if there is a huge different between 8330 and 8340.

What's your listening distance, and do you like to listen loud?

For nearfield, I'd get either the 8030C and do room correction myself or a 7350A + 8330A combo, personally. Unless you have the money for Ones, of course.
The Ones are a bit out of budget tbh!
Think 8330 combo might be the one

I think most people would prefer the 8330 to the 8320. My preference of the 8320 many would find unusual I suspect. I think the 8330s are a great option. The only speakers comparable in my opinion cost quite a bit more -- the KH310, Ones, maybe ATC monitors though I doubt it.

Nearfield, around 70-85dB...
Then the 8020 with sub are a good choice and IMV loud enough. I use them as well, but with a KEF sub I got as broken from a colleague which I could repair myself (broken opamp). It did cost me a pizza ... :)

I was choosing between Neumann KH80 and Genelecs and I decided Genelec!
I feel like the company is more well rounded and has nice expandability

I am extremely pleased by my newly come pair of Genelec 8030C. The sound is very clean, detailled yet smooth. If you want to hear what's under 45 Hz, a subwoofer is recommended.

What’s the roll off on the lows?
Looking at the charts, it looks like it plays clean to like 55hz or so, then a steep drop
