Genelec 7040A sub good choice for a pair of 8020B monitors?

I did not get sub for my 8020d yet - but I think genelec is way to go if budget allows. Also ideally need DSP to integrate well. Like 8320/8331 + 7350 and such.

Non-DSP Genelec subwoofers are kind of poor value. If you're not going for their 73xx line (which has DSP), then why not just go for a Rythmik or SVS sub? Much better price to performance ratio.

I just pulled the trigger on a 7040A to use with my 8030C in very tight room, which the easy integration with genelec 80xx and the very slim profile makes it my only choice to not taking up my legroom under the desk. will report back of in room measurements

How did you find it, did you stay with the 7040A?

it's doing wonder for my tiny space, any thicker the sub I will have no space to rest my leg. plus with minor EQ below 400hz I got this result. basically in room follows target to around 28hz
