There are a pair of these for sale, for a very reasonable price, close to me that I’m considering for my living room. Has anyone here any experience with these “Smart IP” speakers? I’m only really interested because of the simplicity of installation for where I’d like to put them (single POE+ cable). Genelec doesn’t seem to publish an on-axis measurement for these but I found some measurements HERE done by Prof Goertz that look quite good. I’m really interested in how difficult the implementation of the software is for something like home use.

You can find the Genelec measurements in the operating manual.

They measure practically identical to the 8330A SAM monitors.

Thanks. Looking at the OM they almost look flatter than the 8330A. @Ilkka Rissanen is the iPad app all I need to set up and control these speakers?

Have you checked out our Smart IP FAQ and 4430A operating manuals yet?

You need the Dante Controller to set up the IP streams and Genelec Smart IP Manager to configure the monitors/subwoofers. The Smart IP Controller app (Android/iOS) allows limited control of the already configured system (for example zone, volume and mute controls).
I have a quick question: On Genelec website 4430a has <0.5%THD for 200hz-20khz, but 8030 and 8330 has <0.5%THD for 100hz-20khz. Could it be due to the limited power of PoE? Does that mean that 4430 has worse distortion than 8030 and 8330?
