I figured since we have threads with different systems, we should do one with garage systems. I spend a fair amount of time in my garage, so like to have some decent tunes in there where I am working. Over time various pieces that aren't being used for other things have ended up in the garage. Currently it is:

  • Sonos Connect acting as a Roon endpoint.
  • Fosi TDA7498E integrated.
  • Salk Song Surround 1 (bought used for less than $400 due to some minor cabinet marks and a small tear on one of the grills).
It fills my garage nicely and keeps me happy when I am out there.

I probably lose audiophile points but I really like the UE Megaboom 3 that I have in my garage.

I am mostly working out when I’m in the there and it meets my needs for that purpose. It gets plenty loud, has good vocal clarity, and enough mid bass to be fun. Plus, It was cheap and I can carry it to the deck when I want music there.

My garage system, back when I had a garage and a garage system. You're seeing the front half of a 5.1 system, with three little powered subs tucked away in various places. Infinity Primus 360s in front, 250s in back, matching center speaker. There's an Onkyo AV receiver, various sources including a Strathclyde turntable with a SME III tonearm and a Shure 97 cartridge. Now live in a tiny apartment, learning the joys of modern headphones.

Here's the Strathclyde in the garage:

In the previous house, I had a pair of some large Sony bookshelf speakers powered by a Kenwood receiver I found on CL for $10, plus a 10" Yamaha sub in the garage.

Nothing currently, but I'm hoping our next house has a big enough garage to set up some audio gear. I already have a pair of JBL Arena 130, a Panasonic XR57 receiver, a few 10" Velodyne subs, and a Chromecast Audio waiting to be put to good use.
