GALA DAC - New Product, Coming Soon

I guess this is 8-10x value of the parts involved, with no distribution costs, unknown after sales service, etc., I would honour this with 4-5x value the pieces the highest...... Pls go ahead with no USB, love it!!

Are you taking into account the following:
  • Cost of PCB
  • Cost of PCB Assembly
  • Cost of PCB Testing
  • Cost of Enclosure (it is 14 gauge steel)
  • Cost of final assembly
  • Cost of final testing
  • etc.

SNR: 130dB (0dbFS, A-Weighted)

I'm going to call this number now as absolute fantasy, I'm sorry :

SNR: 130dB (0dbFS, A-Weighted)

That equates to 1.5uV of A weighted noise with respect to your elevated 5V RMS output.

I measured it, and when Amir measures it, you will be proved wrong.

The measurement was performed over a bandwidth of 10 - 20kHz, and with the DAC running at 24-bit with 192kHz sampling frequency.

So you feed it a 24 bit 192KHz signal and then brickwall the S/N measurements at 20KHz? How about a decent bandwidth? Let's see what is going on up there.

...I measured it...

What with? I'm interested.

GALA is on the way to @amirm. He should get it on Thursday.
Waiting for this!
I need 8 channels of DA-conversion in my system, so I might be interested in buying your pcb:s only. The cost will be too high for me buying 4pc of your ready made dac, unfortunately.
SPDIF-coax (or preferably AES3) digital input, and balanced analogue output, with SOTA SNR, good low THD, and totally pop-free, are the "only" things I need :) And also, that several dacs does not drift apart in timing (when inputed with the same source/clock )

With all the work and running around trying to get the Indiegogo project running, I never had the time to sit down and properly listen to GALA.

Finally got GALA hooked up to my entertainment center, it sound much better than I could have imagined. It's hooked up to a pair of my own custom designed 25W mono-blocks.

I just received word that GALA will be certified under the Arrow Certification Program.

This is a big advantage for this project as Arrow's engineers have rigorously reviewed all aspects of the design and confirmed that it either meets or exceeds all current industry standards.
