I've never heard of that. There's no need for a speaker to extend beyond its crossover range. And it's impossible to make a true-full range driver.
"Full range" just means the driver is intended to be used alone. It's a compromise. (Mostly a cost-compromise.) The highs usually roll-off and the bass is usually limited too.
Sometimes many-many small-identical full-range drivers are used in an array. The small size allows high-frequencies and multiple drivers increase the total cone area which is required for bass.
