FT7A pads on FT7 headphones

Any thoughts of whether the FT7A pads will make much difference to female vocals on the FT7?

A comment I noticed elsewhere about female vocals on the stock FT7:
female vocals are positioned a step back in the mix, while bass lines and high-frequency elements such as hi-hats and triangles draw more attention. The balance doesn’t feel unnatural, but it does shift the focus away from the midrange in a way that listeners who prioritize vocal intimacy may notice.

Of course this is not measured on an industry standard fixture.

For this reason comparisons between the 3 pads (20-20k, acoustically smoothed)
green = velour, red = fabric.png

blue = lambskin, red = fabric.png

The comfort is better, clarity is similar as lambskin but the sharpness is lower using the velour HS-FT7A pads.
These pads are a good investment for the rather expensive FT7 if you want more comfort. One can EQ any tonal inaccuracies but you can't EQ comfort.
Also the arms of glasses do not squeak like the fabric pads do.

Basically similar in tone as the lambskin pads but with better treble and comfort (though the latter is subjective).
