The Benchmark ADC16 is a high-performance 16-channel analog-to-digital converter designed for professional studio and mastering applications. Benchmark converters are well known for extremely low noise, excellent linearity, and rock-solid clocking.
This unit is configured with the permanent rackmount faceplate and is ready for installation in a studio rack.
The ADC16 provides three independent 16-channel digital output groups, allowing it to integrate easily into a wide variety of professional systems:
• Balanced AES/EBU outputs (16 channels at all sample rates)
• Coaxial AES outputs (16 channels at all sample rates)
• Optical outputs supporting AES or ADAT formats
Each output group can be sourced from the 16-channel A/D converter, making it easy to feed multiple digital devices simultaneously.
Typical uses include:
• Studio tracking systems
• Digital console front ends
• AES-based monitoring systems
