Hi guys, for sale here is a newly built custom 12" sealed subwoofer. For a little more information:
The driver:
The box:
Please note this sale is for the passive subwoofer only, not including the amplifier (currently using Behringer A800). You will need around 6-800watts to take full advantage of the driver in this cabinet. Luckily, amplification is quite cheap nowadays (the above amp is £150 and works excellently for this application).
Asking for £250 (the driver itself costs around £230). You could have an epic subwoofer system for around £400. Comparable subwoofers would be the SVS2000 series (starts at £1000).
Reason for sale: I need dual subwoofers for the new space I am in, unfortunately I now do not have the space or time to build a second.
Any questions please ask!
The driver:
- Celestion FTR12-4080DL
- High-sensitivity pro-audio driver with longer than usual xmax (around 14mm)
- High continuous power handling (1400w)
- High BL (strength of the magnet, 24Tm vs the usual 15Tm for a 12") + low moving mass means very snappy transients.
- Able to be used higher than 200hz (makes crossover with mains easier)
The box:
- 18mm MDF, double thick front baffle
- Rigid interior bracing
- Finished with Tuffcab pro non-reflective and scratch resistant satin black paint
- Speakon connector on the rear for use with pro-amplifiers
- 550h x 333w x 254d mm
- 4 rubber feet on the bottom
