V2 has an IEM mode and soft start. Sound quality/specs the same.
V1 is usable with IEMs with care because it is so powerful. It's not really designed for IEM more for phones that need some power.
Some mobile devices cannot power up V1 due to high inrush current. My Samsung Galaxy S8 was ok.
