[edit] Sold the Marantz player locally, Denon player remains available, will take $350 CDN rather than the $350 USD I was previously after for the Denon.
Hi folks,
I've got a Denon DBP1611-UD Universal blu-ray player, flashed with updated firmware to make it region-free, and a Marantz UD7006 Universal blu-ray/sacd/dvd-audio player, also flashed with updated firmware for region-free playback.
The players are both based on the same platform, with streaming and network playback capabilities. The primary difference is the Denon outputs digital only, with no built-in DAC. The Marantz has full 7.1-channel analog output and will decode SACD, DVD-Audio, DTS, Dolby Digital, etc., internally.
The Marantz is in perfect, like-new condition. The Denon has a small dent on the top of the case and a couple of very small scratches on the top of the case as well - faceplate is immaculate.
I see the Denon listed on eBay and selling for between $350-$500 USD (without updated firmware) and the Marantz is all over the place, anywhere from $500-$1000USD.
I'd prefer to sell on here than go through the hassle of selling on eBay so I'm happy to take the lower end on both of those - $350 for Denon or $500 for Marantz, USD. I'm on the west coast of Canada but will ship anywhere.
Selling as I literally used the Denon that was upstairs a single time last year, and I replaced the Marantz that was in our living room with a 4k Sony player.
