Wondering if given the choice which one would you think would sound best?
I never heard them unfortunately, but from all the reviews they seem to sound fantastic!

The 226Be has a better spin than the C426Be, and 90% of frontal audio comes from the center channel in HT.

3x 328Be alone might beat the 226Be by a hair in blind tests(in fact, Revel most likely made sure of that) but at more than double the price? No, thank you.

Funny you are!
So how do you like Three Studio2 vs your B&W 802Diamond
Surely, my actions speak loud enough. Very happy (although there is a new pair of speakers now in place for review).

Yes actions speak louder than words or music should I say ;)
What are the new speakers?

If you can fit identical front speakers in the room, why wouldn't you?

Intriguing. Are you at liberty to disclose the new speakers being reviewed, pray tell?

Will the F226Be be able to play as loud as the F328Be?

NO! I just got a pair of F228be and ordered the 328be's within days. They are very good super detailed great soundstage, fast but lack the large wow factor and volume I am looking for. Everything I have read and heard about the 328be is they are a much larger sound and better in every way.

I have the 2 328be and the 426be. 328's have clarity and sound stage and base punchiness that 226s lack. The L and R are super critical and I want the best speakers there. As for the center channel 426 measures extremely well, let alone for the center channel, not sure how the 226s measure better.

I think you've got it backwards. In home theater Center channels handle about 60% of the L/R/C duty and shouldn't be smaller than your L / R speakers. I therefore voted for the 3 Revel Performa F226Be. But 2 Revel Performa F226Be & the C426Be would also make sense (depending on floor layout) because the F226Be's have the same 6.5" woofers as the C426Be.

Luckily, we have spinorama for all:

-3dB (resp. -6db) point v.s. reference is at 56.0Hz (resp. 48.0Hz).
Preference Score is 6.1 and would be 7.9 with a perfect subwoofer.

I would just avoid a center channel altogether and dump as much money as possible into two very high quality mains, unless your seating area is very wide. My center speaker spends most of its time shut off, unless we're snuggling far off center on the chaise arm of the sectional.

@Descartes what did you end up going with? I'm leaning toward F226Be LCR. Currently demoing the M105 which will be surrounds.
