From JDS Labs atom to FiiO K11 R2R?

I mean, it's not snake oil. It sounds very different which a lot of people prefer and are capable of doing NOS which is impossible with a DS dac
It doesnt sound very different. There is overwhelming amount of evidence that the difference is inaudible or extremely small. The NOS thing is another completly retarded snake oil, the idea that reconstruction filter is worse than unfiltered PCM waveform is ridiculous, only absolute noob with zero signal processing knowledge could believe it.

Ofcourse it "sounds" very different in sighted test after the listener was fed the snake oil lies that make him expect the superior organic holographic R2R sound, our brain is constantly hallucinating and altering our perceptions, human hearing is extraordinarily susceptible to placebo hallucinations.

EDIT: I noticed your claim that NOS is impossible in delta sigma dac, this is completly wrong and shows that you have zero understanding about DACs. Its trivial to design delta sigma DAC chip without oversampling, conventional DS DAC chips use oversampling becose they are 5bit, so to get the desired signal to noise ratio they use oversampling but there is nothing preventing anyone from making 16bit delta sigma DAC without oversampling, its just cheaper and simpler to manufacture 5 bit oversampling DAC vs native 16 bit DAC.

Oversampling is audibly transparent and has zero negative impact on sound, all modern music you hear was oversampled to extreme degree multiple times inside the DAW pluggins that audio engineers use on everything. Everytime sound is run through limiter, compressor or distortion software its oversampled internally to prevent unwanted digital artifacts from accumulating.

I have directly compared NOS and OS in a blind test on the same dac and found the difference to be significant. The idea that a reconstruction filter is worse than unfiltered PCM is subjective and I find your dismissal of people preferences in a subjective hobby to be extremely rude and disrespectful as do I find your use of an ableist slur.

Delta sigma dacs are by definition 1 bit, that's how they work.

Do not try to lecture me on how music production works, I've been working in the pro-audio industry for several years as a producer, recording engineer, mixing engineer, and mastering engineer. I'm very familiar with how all these things works. The idea that oversampling is audibly transparent is nonsense as this has been tested and it was proven that differences between oversampling filters is clearly audible. This is also a test I've done myself and I found that I can clearly hear the difference.
