“CAUTION! Many amplifiers will oscillate at very high frequencies when cap coupled with no DC return path (this always is the situation for the amps driving the Mid/Tweeter section) unfortunately there is no way to know without a scope until the tweeters mysteriously burn up. On may hear this if the sound gets brighter but some would find this as a possible improvement especially if they are older. I recommend one finds a mono amp he or she likes and bi-wire with short speaker wires. RV“

I am using Kenwood L-05M’s. How do I know if they are oscillating at high frequencies?

That should NOT be a common problem. Most amplifiers are stable and don't "freak out" with no load. (You might get more ultrasonic switching noise from a Class-D amplifier.)

If you're worried, add a 1K resistor across the output terminals. That should be enough of a DC path.

You might need a resistor rated for 1 Watt or more. Power can be calculated as Power = Voltage Squared / Resistance. From my quick calculations, 20V (which is 50W into 8-Ohms) would be 0.4W into 1K.

and bi-wire with short speaker wires.

Bi-wiring is different from bi-amping. Bi-wiring is useless except it doubles the wiring, similar to using heavier gauge wire.
