Fosi surely know the impact of pricing on the success of the product, they have all the experience on building things up…..
I, for one, want to see the actual price they release it for.
It isn’t uncommon to readjust the prices seeing the feedback….
So you never know.

I universally recommend Buckeye to almost everyone simply for the value, despite I personally wouldn't want one for the reason that many have strongly expressed.

But it's a very difficult to see this Fosi excelling in US sales, when you have this. Aesthetics on both are questionable, despite I may put the Fosi slightly ahead, but for that price, and I am forced between two uglies, I go with the Buckeye.

I really like this depending on the price.

Won’t be buying it though. I’d rather have March Audios P501 monos.

I was at an audio show once, went into a room where some guy bragged how his speakers were tuned by a classical musician and therefore it was the most accurate speaker in the show. I ran out of the room to throw up.

An accomplished audio engineer who happened to be a pro musician may be an interesting thing to lob on a website… possibly.

I try really hard to be civil at these shows and not make other people uncomfortable, including subjectivists. But I was laughing inside for sure.

I have two sets of speakers, both are rather expensive for me (maybe not for others). Both of these speakers are meant to be with me for at least another 10 years, most likely for another 15.

I cannot afford to take a risk with these brands that have reported QA issues even if only here and there.

Specific to the Chinese brands, for me their reliability is in question not because of the legacy of poor Chinese QA/QC reputation, since Chinese QA/QC has already hit parity for easily over a decade now with their Western counterparts. But because of how fast they push through a product cycle and how short live each product is. This naturally cuts out valuable QA/QC and shortens the support lifecycle, especially if products are treated as disposable.

Reliability concerns are not limited to just these Chinese brands alone, there are also reported issues with the Hypex MP series as well, which was on my short list at one point.

These specific Fosi are likely using a derivative of the Hypex MP series, so right off the bat, we are dealt with a double whammy risk: Chinese brand shorten product development cycle and Hypex MP.

Like another commenter, I also have $1,600 speakers. We may even have the same ones- Lintons. Unlike them, I'm more than fine to use Fosi V3 mono with them, in addition to some restored vintage amps/receivers and a contemporary Yamaha integrated. It's not really that I'm less risk averse, I don't see the risk.

I'm not saying there's zero risk, I'm saying there's no evidence to indicate they'd fail in such a way to break speakers, like an outrush of DC current. It stands to reason they'd fail in the same way other amps fail- going into protection, dead channels, failed power supplies, distortion, reduced output. As opposed to blowing up.

I do understand the other side of this I just don't relate to it, if that makes sense.
