Yes I think so....have only played through my main system so far. I bought it to set up an outdoor patio system which is not completed yet. Should be just fine.

Oh by the way, has anybody succeeded in pairing that remote with the streamer? I can't get it to work.

I did, thought it had built in battery but the back does come off and 2 AAA batteries and follow the instructions got it going.

what is meant by "volume control works" This streamer and most DACs control volume in the digital domain, correct? So if not at full volume it truncates bits or am I highly uneducated?

Try using the forum's "Reply" function (like I just did to reply to you), otherwise no one knows what post or quote you're referring to.

sorry it was part of amir's original review...

don't want to quote that whole thing...

To clarify, follow the instructions in the small paper manual that comes with unit. In retrospect, I don't think it is at all obvious how to pair the remote without reading the instructions.

Yep... "Those who can read have a clear advantage" as I use to say... but is it necessary to design a device in a way where you have to read a manual to get the remote working? I mean... no one expects that from a TV or a CD player, right?

OK yes but it adjusts volume by truncating bits? or no? Educate me.

A helpful option could be to have pre-paired remote with the unit.

Thanks, we are also testing this, but we are very sorry that for the sold items, you may need to refer to the instruction manual;

Hello there. I recently became a happy owner of the s3. Just want to say it's very good performer in terms of audio quality, especially if you use Hi Res files (i use Qobuz). For the main room where i prefer to listen my music, i use active studio monitors and the sound is very detailed. One time i got a bug, when s3 was unable to play from it's outputs, as it was muted, though Fosi App showed that volume level is ok. In that particular case i ended with full reset of device, hopefully this bug will not appear again. UPnP streaming via Foobar works perfect. Bluetooth quality is acceptable. So far so good.
