No IN makes sense because that would be for DAC sales.

Fundamentally, it is a DAC with streaming capabilities. RJ45 makes it a streamer as I don't consider BT a streaming component/feature. In todays digital world, a 'pure' streamer is not very useful IMHO of course. When you use roon with 5+ endpoints everything's a DAC/streamer.

Wonder why companies still only use 10/100 ethernet ports* these days. I'm sure the cost to put a gigabit port is negligible, but the "bottom line" costs, etc. might stop them.. I suppose most people use WiFi these days, but I would prefer wired.

It's a "Fine" for me, but wish it had that Gigabit port and supported LDAC.

* 100Mbps ports after overhead max out at around 94.68Mbps or around 11.835 MB/s which I suppose is good enough for the vast majority of CD to High Res streaming, but a faster port could allow for more caching and limit any chance of buffering.

I use roon throughout my home and all but 1 endpoint is wired(RJ45). My bedroom listening rig is wireless and good enough.

thanks，Please help send a screenshot of the version number of your device. I think the device has not been updated to the latest version.

Now I cannot communicate to the S3. Worked yesterday???????
Reset to default, app asked for wifi password led went from blinking white to solid white and then can't find device. Is this a joke or what

Calm down. Give it a minute to work. Close your app and open it again and check firmware and it should download.

Yes I walked away from it. . Will try again later. And yes I can try wired but if it "sees" it and assigns an address,led going from blinking to solid over wifi why can't it then "see" it?

When that happened to me, I closed the app, reopened and it showed up and always shows up now. Can you access your router at all to see if there is something called "fosi" with some numbers showing?

This sounds like it could be a router issue.

Find your local IP address for the S3 through your router. Open a web browser from your PC and type in the IP address for the S3.

I guess this is part of what I am asking. What do I HAVE to do to make this work? Right now it's a $210 hunk-o-junk.
