I was going to pony up the extra cash over a WiiM Mini to give this a try. But my main purpose for it would be PEQ and Spotify. It being a 5 band EQ instead of a 10 band PEQ is a deal breaker for right now. I want to use the streamer to correct headphones. I could still see me getting one of these for the other bedroom since the Preamp there is XLR.
we have OTA 10 band EQ

we have OTA 10 band EQ
Yuting, I think that when you are talking about the new 10 band EQ, it would be good to tell that it's a Graphic EQ. Chanur specifically says that he/she needs a 10 band Parametric EQ to correct headphones. 10 band GEQ is definitely a good step to the right direction, but it's not enough for this use.

Is there a way to loselessly play offline music files from a smartphone source to this streamer via uPnP?
I'm new to this stuff.

Yes, the S3 appears under players in LMS, but in the Fosi App there is no UPNP "server"
Which addon(s) did you enable? My guess is you enabled 'UPnP/DLNA bridge' which lets LMS play to UPnP endpoints. There's also 'UPnP/DLNA Media Interface' which adds a MediaServer and MediaRenderer(s) so that LMS and its players are visible via UPnP. At least that's what I think they do - I don't use them much so could be wrong. Which one you want (or both) depends on what functionality you want.

yes,sorry ,is my mistake

Thanks. Is it possible to achieve the same without using specific apps then, on Android?
not sure what you mean by that. There is no generic music App that comes with every Android phone.

Ergo, you need A specific music player App which supports UPnP.

This App can be one of the three above, or, in case the default media/music playback App that comes preinstalled with the specific Android ROM that your phone is running supports UPnP natively, then sure you can use that one as well.

@yuting Thank you for fulfilling the first step of your roadmap. This is a good first step and we look forward to continued progress.

I don't know if this is a problem, but after the update the release version now shows as "not approved".

is not a problem

Does the Fosi app show either the S3 as a renderer or the LMS server library?

You are saying in a LMS web interface, the S3 is showing up as one of the players, and playing back music from the LMS library as expected, but not through the Fosi app?

@yuting
I see that you also added bitrate and codec information to the playback screen. This means that you have been listening to what audiophiles want. Thank you.

Also, after update, I still have the problem where browsing UPnP is limited to the first 31 items. I did a factory reset and it worked normally, but after going to standby and turning on, the problem comes back.

If I may suggest, please prioritize the development of the 10 band parametric EQ as this quite important for room and headphone equalization. Along with preamp, EQ type (peak, high/low shelf, etc), saving presets, importing presets by txt, etc.

Thank you for your suggestion. The PEQ is already under development, and we expect to release the Preset EQ in Q2. Thank you.

I just installed your latest firmware update and am glad there is at least a 10band EQ. However, I still can't scroll a folder (or any type of a list) without it stopping before the end of that list using UPnP. Are there plans to add Amazon Music ? Thanks!

thanks,There is indeed this issue with UPNP currently. We are determining whether it is a problem with the UPNP protocol, as we have found that this issue also exists in other brands' products available on the market. Currently, we have already started troubleshooting and fixing it, and after the repair is completed, we will update it through OTA. Thank you.

Please count exactly how many are shown before it stops. I counted exactly 31 for any given list while browsing.

any popping or noises when switching inputs or going to standby? I had issues with popping and high background noise on the fosi zd3 balanced out previously. using genelec connected by xlr
