Fosi Audio VOL 20

After watching the kickstarter video there are a few things to note:
-the upper body of the knob is wobbly
-the knob is not a buttton as RandomEar mentioned. huuuge missing out.

I've the feel that this VOL20 knob was rushed a little bit.

Also I already mentioned QMK integration on page 1 but at least a simple BLE-MIDI implementation would be a nice touch. Just like the TE Ortho Remote!
Not sure how import it is - as i don't have any MIDI devices, but needed Fosi VOL20 to send MIDI msgs to Genelec GLM application i installed 'SW/Virtual MIDI interface/port' and wrote python script that reads 'keyboard' like input from Vol20 and converts it to MIDI msgs which are received by GLM app and converted to control of GLM interface (volume up/down, mute, etc).

I take that back btw as the device is completely unusable at a distance of 4m, unlike other BT devices I use. Additionally, the unstable connection leads to interesting issues - like your windows volume turning itself up to 100% and refusing to go down (as its apparently receiving a continuous vol up signal from the Fosi), even though the volume knob isn’t being touched by anyone. I could have easily blown my speakers right now if they weren’t a high efficiency horn + CD combo. Suffice to say I won’t be using the Fosi vol20 and I really don’t recommend anyone else use it either

Edit: a friend ordered one as well & has latency / stability issues too, so I have no reason to assume mine is a faulty unit.
I guess it’s fair to update this post and say that I ended up casually using the vol20 every now and then as it does work well enough from a distance of 2m which I achieved with an extension cable for my BT adapter. I am also not as critical of the „wobbling“ as others seem to be. I was aware of it due to the kickstarter campaign page in advance and after usage, I have to agree that a stiff knob would probably be less ergonomic. I think I paid 38$ for mine, though.

What is it connected to? Is there any radio interference or objects in between the controller and device which could be causing an issue?

I think VOL20 is sensitive to clear line of sight and where the BT adapter is. I had 20cm extension cable lurking from my miniPC and it was working lot better (i.e. 2-3m range) no major issues ... but as soon as it was more than 3m from time to time it did disconnect and took few seconds or needed to move it closer for it to re-connect. Was annoying.
I bought new USB BT adapter which is supposedly 'long range' and i can report it works LOT better. Cost was about 15$. It works with few meters distance and when i rotate it or spin it - it reports up to 10 'keypresses' where as before it was only 4-8 ... so i found out that as a result of much better BT connection (or the fact that old adapter was BT 4.x and this one is BT 5.4) it does have lower latency and is 'snappier'.

Here is the link to it. Just advise everyone to pay attention as many of 'BT 5.4 adapters' are audio only (for headphones and players) and will not work with keyboards etc. This one has Realtec chipset which was supported w/o any special drivers on Windows 10 (and 11). I recommend it.

A BT 5.4 adapter, pretty much the same as recommended by @Gaha bana above. My experience closely mirrors his
