That's how Fosi recommends using the op amps, one of the MUSE 02 and one of the original OpAmps. See video starting at 10:08 here:
Of course, you can replace both op amps if you purchase 2 more MUSE 02s. AFAIK, no one has done that yet to see if there's any difference.

Have you linked the wrong video? It doesn't show that at all, what it does show is replacing both the opamps with matching Sparkos amps. The Musess02 opamp is included in the compatable opamp list though.

Is there anyone who can confirm that changing one op amp is safe? If not, I'm going to sell them as I don't have in plans buy any

Fosi themselves said that it will function fine this way.

Sorry, there was another video where Fosi discussed only changing one of the 2 opamps. They said there was no need to replace both to change the sound.

Is there any word from Fosi about an updated V3 stereo with PFFB?

So here we are more than 100 days since the start of this thread. Australia Post is delivering this morning and this monkey will be off my back and the amps will be hooked up to my DAC.

Fosi seem to be nice people and posted a message to apologise for delays. However, I have learnt that I do not like Kickstarter launches and I won’t ever be part of another. As the 7th backer in a swarm of 2000 or so I was clearly keen. I still am but I’m looking forward to switching off from the purchase and letting the amps do what they were bought to do.

I ran Audyssey with the V3 monos hooked up for the L/C/R on my 7.2.4 system.

With 25dB gain setting, Audyssey had to boost the trims for L/C/R by 4.5dB.

With 31dB gain setting, Audyssey set the trims to -0.5db (much closer to what the rest of my trims are).

Should I stick with 31dB? I'm using RCA inputs on the Fosi Monos.

Yeah, mine are coming tomorrow or the day after to France.

I doubt that I would have bought these though, at full 'market' price - so the 3255 x 2 plus power supply (or supplies) for much more than 250 usd or euros or such, I doubt will remain competitive.

Looks like 320 euros full price in Europe: so 100 euros approx more than the Kickstarter price. This it turns out looks like a 33% discount.

Currently 20% off is the latest deal.

But without the super over large T-shirt! :D

Well, with the 20% off deal Fosi has going on, I decided to order a pair of these with two 48v/5amp power supplies. Not that I really need more power for my speakers (small space, pretty nearfield), but it's too good a deal to pass up. Plus the benefit of PFFB, which may or may not make a noticable difference. Now I just have to wait a month or so before they ship.
A month?? Why such a long time before they ship?

What speaker do you have? I have a Central Rs6 audio monitor that recommends a maximum of 130 watts 6 ohm and I don't know if I can connect them to the pre-out of my Denon without problems. Thanks

This is probably our fault for making a big noise over not meeting expectations for delivery on the first starter. They seem to have taken those complaints seriously so quite likely they are playing a bit safe on the second batch - and it is a second batch not yet a continuous production with available retained stock so a longer lead time is likely to be needed.

So what gain setting are people using with these?

Generally the lowest gain which still can deliver the maximum volume you want.

I'll be using XLR though which only has a single fixed value, although that is nice and low.

Minor update on the deceased amp.
Replacement has been shipped.
I'll return the broken unit so their engineering team can do some forensics.
They would let me know what part was responsible.

Hope this replacement will last, or it will be my last Fosi.
