I bought it used and for those cheap Chinese products there is no manual
There is a manual, the seller just didn't give it to you. So maybe be more cautious next time before you dismiss a whole product and origin category wholesale without cause.

I think I phrased that poorly. What I meant was that I don't have a manual for it.

By the way, it’s an Audioromy M828-A that I bought used for €220. I liked the look of the dual pentode, and I wanted to find out how it performs with my full-range speakers compared to my Hypex NCx500. The result was that the tube produces slightly less treble, and due to the higher distortion, the overall soundstage comes across as a bit more blurred.

But back to the resistor.
I double-checked this today and can also confirm it: When the amplifier isn't connected to the speaker via the switch, you can't measure that expected 370-ohm load.
I’d always wondered why the full-range driver's cone shifted inward by about a centimeter right after switching, only to slowly move back out again o_O

I’ve now connected a 470-ohm resistor across the tube amplifier's output terminals, and that unsightly excursion during switching is gone.
So, thanks for the tip :)

Just if you're interested. I added some electronics to the LC30 to change the meters to a calibrated operation.
