Thanks so much for responding!
I've never owned anything with carpet (yuck) so not sure where that came from. But when the heat sink is **all four sides** of the case, that could be a factor. There is no "right side up" with CA30, in fact the video above showed the guy flipping the guts around.

As to your main point
> require a DC power supply. They all do. Every amp ever made. They have DC power rails
Take grid-powered Class A /AB units like Adcom GFA-555 or Schiit Vidar, or even Class D ICEpower Hypex NCORE.
For someone without strong DIY (at the soldering chips to board level) skills that statement is maybe theoretically true.
But bypassing whatever is internally converting the grid AC and constructing DCDC PSUs to feed massive internal high-voltage DC power rails, e.g. up to 80Vdc
may be possible (or even easy to some), but NOT me at this stage of my learning curve.
Same with building amps from board level kits, if it's going to save most of say, $200 without soldering, and also includes the case, buttons knobs good connectors, then sure, please drop the links.
You seem to want amps that require a DC power supply.
Not seem to, that is what I want.

"Requiring an external power supply" is fine, but the amp needs to itself accept staightforward DC input under 60V, ideally <48. TPA3255 based is OK too, I can just use 3e A7, but for some channels I want more power.
In this case having the magnitude crossovers built in, is a real plus for good value, bandpass would be even better! without paying $100 more.
I am only considering "car gear" because those are DESIGNED to plug into a DC power infrastructure, and DC-DC conversion below 60V can be accomplished pretty easily and safely with OTS UL-rated (or CE) finished products.
Please recommend better value amps than CA30 at high SQ, or measured higher RMS power amps
The AC powered examples above are at the high end of my budget preferences.
> I wonder if your are just trolling for interest in your residential power system ? Are you a UPS or solar panel installer ?
Just silly, I am only asking for help on Audio tech, I am a consumer, 100% retired.
