Fosi Audio BT20A, is it as good as the reviews on Amazon?

I had one. It will pop if you don't power it off from the front switch. I tried a BT30D also, same thing. Douk Audio G4 will pop also but I use one anyway for a bass shaker. I haven't tried the A04 but I do run two A07s and they don't pop.

It would be cool to see if this little amp pops and what it measures. It's got some interesting specs (grain of salt maybe but it looks cool too : ) Tone bypass is nice which i haven't seen on any of these other little amps.

It would be great to see a review of the NS13-G (Nobsound is an unfortunate choice of name for the UK, as is the colour, but some paint would sort both problems), and also some kind of comparison with the Fosi BT20A which not only has a better name but also good reviews out side Amazon as well as inside.

Thanks.

Headphone Level Inputs?

I've been looking at the NS13G & BT20A ads on Amazon. Both show a variety of input devices, but all of them seem to be devices that you'd expect to be headphone out rather than line out (PCs, MP3 players etc), so I'm wondering if these amps are really designed for headphone level inputs. If so, will that affect performance if a line level input is used?

the 3116d2 is an excellent chip, however at that price point, the aiyima A04 and A07 are a newer generation chip, same price, a substantial gain in power, and are highly well regarded here
Yes, the TPA3116/3118/3110 were very nice chips 5 years ago but they have definitely been superceded by the TPA3250/3251/3255 and Infineon MA12070. Superior in all respects for about the same price.

do we have any articles/links discussing those generational changes?

I read an article somewhere about the engineering changes to the 325X a few years ago, but don't have it bookmarked. I believe it was a link in diyaudio forum thread. From a sound quality standpoint, one can compare the results of the testing here on ASR of the Allo Volt+ D, a highly optimized implementation of the TPA3118d2, to the similar JLE Sylph with the TPA3255. Also compare it to the cheaper mass market Aiyima A07, as well as the Loxjie A30 and Topping PA3s with single and dual Infineon chips.

I've just returned a BT20A to Amazon, the sound was not really much better than the cheaper Chinese amp that I was going to replace. I found it was good at low volumes but lacked clarity in the mid-high volumes. Very subjective, I know, so FWIW.

I have one and it's not that bad at all when done right - wonder how it compares to the aiyima a07.
