After seeing all the good stuff on YouTube about Fosi Box 2, I ordered one (55 bucks, how could I go wrong) and will get it tomorrow. Anybody here have one, if so how do you find it? Great, good, meh or no way Jose?

hey, not many on here want anything to do with tubes. That's why no replies. I'm sure that you have yours by now and I hope you are enjoying it. For the money it is a decent pre amp. Certainly better than most pre amps that are built in.

Not many here want anything to do with tubes? ………… I find that hard to believe, there has to be some audiophiles that are around?

Right, because real audiophiles want a little extra distortion before the signal hits the amp... only amateurs seek out as pure a signal as possible. ;)
I’d have to agree to disagree

This site is for measurement zealots.

Like the fact Amir gave the little Aiyama amp, that has a massively uneven frequency response curve, a top grade recommendation just because it had low THD. I bet these guys don't even listen to music out of them before ranking them.

If you think frequency dependency is bad, I agree, what does that have to do with adding harmonic distortion on purpose?

Edit: To be clear, I think that's also a valid choice if that's how you want to listen. But i think it's weird and pointless to make it into some kind of ideological argument that actually boils down to a matter of taste. Better to acknowledge that you actually just don't prioritize high fidelity per se and move on.

High Fidelity is a great movie.
