I use the Realphones program and I like all the various ways it can affect the sound of the headphones.
Here is a warning that might have slipped by some users, like it did by me, until I measured the output of the process.
The Presence control is actually not what the name would suggest.
It dulls the sharpness of the EQ filter slopes (Q parameter), regardless where those filters are in frequency.
It also applies the dulling fully when the control is set to minimum or OFF (!!!!), and it has no effect on the Q parameter when set to 100%. Basically it works the opposite of any other control in the program and that is not explained well in the manual.
So, if you are manually entering corrections from a source like Oratory1990, make sure the Presence is on and set to 100%. In the Presence off, or less than 100% setting, the EQ is neutered.
This theoretically might result in pleasant sound, but since we typically cut with high Q filters, the resulting cuts will not be affecting the resonances the way we set out to cut them.
