Time to let go some of my vintage gear, and clear up the clutter!
I'm mostly judging interest here.
This preamp was brought in by an aquaintence from Japan back in the early 70s.
It includes the original Japanese owners manual, the English version (US, presumably) and US service manual.
The wood case is original, but has some dings and scratches, and somewhere along the line I misplace the original screws.
I cleaned all the switches and pots several years ago and it was working well then, but will power it up again and verify shortly.
I'll also test it with the turntable (Sony 2251 w/SME arm and Shure V15 cartridge, also for sale, separately, if interested).
(Also available are a Bryston 3BNRB amp, Bryston 2B LP, JBL SA-660 and Emotiva UMC-200 and UPA5? channel amp).

Asking say, $600? Plus shipping, US preferred.

More pictures are available, of course.

Thanks!

I would think that pre measures well. It's beautiful.

Pffft... I can think of what a pre-amp like that would cost today. Expensive comes to mind. Is $600 for the pre-amp alone or is anything else included?

Doesn't bear thinking about cost to build today - can't even imagine!
The $600 includes just the pre-amp, wood case, and documentation.
If interested in any of the other items, drop me a PM, please.
Original cardboard shipping boxes disintegrated decades ago, sadly, b'c they'd been abused pretty badly as luggage back from Tokyo in the 70s!!
Some (older) additional pics:

I wish I could afford to do a full tune-up (mostly caps, I'd think - this is mostly discrete transistors) and send it to Amir for testing, that'd be interesting.
Last I checked, all the switches and pots worked cleanly w/no noise or crackles; I did replace the VU meter lamps (LEDs, maybe?) then as well.
I keep thinking how sweet this could be with a nice DAC and maybe TT on the front end, and powered speakers on the output....and maybe a Mic for mixing while you're at it?
<grin>
And a cleaner picture of the controls

First LP played in about a decade. Pleasantly suprised they seemed to work fine!
There was a bit of switch crackling, but that went away after a bit of exercising; still some 60hz hum, but I've not hooked it up carefully yet either.
So far VU meters, switches, volume, pre main outs 1/2, R/L and headphones work fine, as do tone and defeat and reverse/normal etc switches.
Impressive...for 50 years old?!
Sounds pretty darned good on Kali IN-8s.
