I figured the general forum would be the best place to post this. Please notify if I have chosen the wrong spot.
I'm thinking about selling a brand new Hypex NC502MP module along with this simple little case that the original unit came to me in. The original NC502mp failed most likely due to a weather event and Hypex sent me a brand new one after I pulled out and unsoldered the original one and sent it to them in the Netherlands.
The pics should tell the whole story. I never re-wired the XLR or speaker connections, but the XLR wires are in there just not connected. I don't know what became of the outside screws (simple black, I'm sure the size is common) or the speaker wires with the spades on them. That is a VERY easy DIY project for someone who's interested.
Before the power surge - which was just bad timing and user error; I had only just temporarily plugged it into the wall right before a major electrical storm - the original module sounded wonderful. As we all know this is subjective, but I liked the way it sounded in the system it was in better than several class ab amps and an nc500 DIY project I did.
I don't really know what price to ask for. I see that VTV and others are selling this module in much fancier cases starting at $759, so I'm thinking I'd start by asking $425 plus buyer pays shipping. I'm sure some ASR-ers are more familiar with Hypex's OEM pricing structure, so please weigh in if I'm way off. I've also got the original Hypex box with data sheet, the receipt from the RMA warranty replacement and hatch marked plastic bag that all of their modules ship in.
Please either respond here or DM me if interested or if you have any questions.
****Also please note I'm selling an Oppo Sonica SDAC-3 which is currently listed on US Audio Mart for $750. It's NIB, only used it a couple of hours and comes with everything normally included****
