I've got a box full of 'em, quite literally.
To the best of my knowledge, they all still work, too...

I have the Fiio DM13, which is quite a bit cheaper but unfortunately uses that flawed Cirrus DAC chip. I think that Fiio is just looking to get every corner of the market. These Fiio portable players also tend to use a transport which is not bit perfect.
 
I have a dm15 now will be comparing over the weekend with my dm13 and some of my othe cd players.
 
I am pleasantly surprised to see it was HiD compliant through usb.
 
Haven't needed a portable player in quite some time, but used them for quite a while. Fiio, no thanks.
 
270 moneys for a discman, no thanks. Even if it comes with free inferior DAC technology on the side. :p

I'd deem the price less of a problem. But I'd never buy a discman, that doesn't sport an easily swappable battery - especially at that price level.
