Looking at the secondary market - the Perlisten would be on the upper range of budget at around 12k/pair

Focal Sopra 2 vs Salon 2 vs Totem Acoustic Wind vs Perlisten s7t

regardless of room choice, which is capable of most closely reproducing the dynamic range of a live drum kit and vocalist with the least distortion

IF powered by a theoretically perfect stack

I wouldn't consider Totem Winds with the other speakers you listed. They can be fun on demos but the lower frequencies make some material unlistenable as daily drivers.
Good to know. I will cross them off. Thanks

It seems like your chief concern is dynamic peaks with low distortion. For that I would be looking more at something like the JBL M2 than any of those.

Those are 30K so out of the budget sorry, unless you have a lead on a pair for $12k or less

For the drum kit, I'd go with the Perlisten. For everything else, the Salon 2.
