My earbuds can "can actually put out an impressive amount of bass for [their] size until run into [their] SPL limitations."

I'm unclear what the point of this remark is supposed to be. Your earbuds are fit for purpose, I presume?

Or your eardrum limitations, when someone needs to put out an impressive SPL for you to even begin to hear ;)

-8 dBu represented 91 dBSPL. I added 5 dB to that for -3 dB and that is when the input overloaded. I did not try to find another level that didn't.
So the input can barely take half a volt, if that. That's pretty naff. You could overload this one with any random onboard audio. I assume that you were using the unbalanced input? I would very much hope that the balanced input has a bunch of negative gain under these circumstances. I won't be surprised if they were going for -10 dBV / +4 dBu...

Any comparisons to the "Vulkkano pro4"?They sound significantly better than the Edifier M4. I don't know how they compare to the fluid-c35bt.Any opinions?
