I like that I can clearly articulate the instrumets that I am listening to, prior to this I had a bose soundflex bluetooth speaker which I thought was great however this is much clearer and I can hear everything quite detailed. I think the Bose had a warmer sound though.

I think this is my end game setup though I can see the start of a rabbit hole and this current level of detail is fine enough for my music listening needs. Overall I am pleased with the purchases as my first and last set up and think I've gotten good value for money.

I think this will also narrow my musical tastes a bit more, since some music I like sounds great through the stereo and others don't since I wouldn't have noticed it through the bose due to the lack of detail

But you are having to kill reflections off the glass table with your foot.
You could buy a false foot to put on the table, and this will allow you to get a beer out of the fridge without sonic disaster.
