Had to get rid of 2,000 discs back in 2019. Time flies. I tended to collect a lot of classical titles, they were cheap and plentiful as used items in the early oughts, as classical music fans were the first to jump on the CD bandwagon. But most of those Classical titles were demonstrations of why Classical music fans went digital first. I did have some titles that were re-saleable, like a complete set of the Beatles Mono reissues. I guess I got the most satisfaction from giving away rare and sometimes obscure folk and world titles to friends from the Fresno Folklore Society with whom I regularly played music. But most went to a thrift store as donations. Had to get rid of all those albums because we (Gail, my wife) moved from 2,600 sq. ft. to 900 sq. ft. Managed to keep 1,600 CDs, though I mostly stream these days.
