General specs:

sigh... no i2s

They have to leave room for improvement in a year or two....K17v2 :) Also, remove MQA

Edit: I don't know..It looks really nice to me and has tons of features. Just not sure about the dimensions...maybe too big 244.6x213x66.8mm for a desk.

I just picked up the K19, but this seems like it might be better for my needs. A bit cheaper, maintains the 31-band PEQ, on top of having physical switches for gain and output is much better than having a super slim box.

It's already for sale on Ali Express and Ebay Chinese shops. I'm still waiting on the K19 to arrive. If the EQ Software works well enough, I may return it and order one of these.

Although I think it will be fine, it might be worth waiting for some measurements. It's a brand-new device after all.

Streamer capabilities are limited to only Roon and Airplay. It was supposed to be fully released today on January 16th, but no new information was put out as of yet so it might have been delayed.

Yeah, I use Roon, so I'm good with that. Roon is nice, IMO. Also, launces tomorrow according to Fiio rep on Head Fi. I REALLY like the K19. I've had it for a few days. But I'm really tempted to replace it with the K17 for the more retro look and more physical knobs. I have a few weeks to decide based on my return window for the K19.

Like many other audio companies, they had to install a standalone DSP in the audio path to properly implement PEQs on all inputs and not rely on the built-in XMOS chip block, which only works with the USB input.

I wish all companies in China could hire professional marketers who speak English.
Triode, pair tube, the driving of big ears and earplugs, triode ear discharge circuit... WTF?

All I got from this "straight talk from the heart" is that it has a Class AB transistor headphone amplifier.

They were doing count down post on Head-Fi like this one everyday with the exact day of when it would launch.

Also, their "Specialty Chips for Specialty Uses" kind of sounds like "special teams special plays special players." LOL

How bizarre. The countdown went nowhere. Product is nowhere to be seen except from shady 3rd party sellers on Aliexpress. Every english translated copy sounds like something written for an Amazon chinese factory clone product.

You can't even find basic info like volume control - is it a potentiometer or relay based for channel balance?
