I’m not an R2R guy but I am a contrarian, so here goes.
72 distortion-dominated SINAD is fine. -72dB down from uncomfortably loud is extremely quiet on its own. The idea that it will cause problems when masked by music is something that should concern precious few of us.
R2R is fun, “retro cool,” if you will. It gets the job done, and there’s something to be said for technology that’s easily understandable. People are happy with it, the FIIO stuff costs peanuts compared to a lot of stuff people drool about over here, and of course it doesn’t get in the way of music nirvana. What’s not to like?

Demand for a product doesn't mean that product has a functional benefit.
The primary benefit of this product is to allow the manufacturer to extract money from the gullible.
If there is a market there is a product to fill the space.

So I am a contrarian contrarian.
Energy spend on talking about the sound quality of any DAC is wasted. The Philips 14-bit 4-times oversampling DAC was good enough, and since then, any sensible design has been. I know that some 20 years ago, I was puzzled to hear and read about the sound of DACs as something that has major, or any, implecation for the quality of audio reproduction. I knew there could not be much there, but some people continued to act as if a DAC is THE major element in a reproduction chain, while it has hardly more inpact than wiring. So many hours, so many words... wasted. Just buy any DAC you like for its functionality, color, brand, or bragging rights. But don't expect them to sound any different. It is solved.Seems like there's an extra "USB IN" type c port at the front of the left side, but no particular mentioning of this in the specs etc.
Pretty clever actually - for quickly connecting a mobile phone or computer without having to reach for the back.

The DAC can accept a IEC mains cable or a 12V DC input.
The unit at the bottom shows "12.0" on it's display so my guess is it's a yet to be released LPS that spits of 12VDC (and maybe other voltages hence the need for the display)
Here is a picture of their current LPS..the display is fundamentally the same...so they have at a minimum changed the chassis to match the DAC (and the display type to match the DAC as well). Internals could be the same and the unit below supports 12v and 15v outputs.

Oh that's interesting. I am looking at this as a fiio r7 with the android part removed and then a r2r dac added instead as it seems to have most of the features of a r7.
This is indeed a fully digital streamer, around 100€, has a coax out, a remote and a volume knob which makes it the cheapest solution (and a pretty neat one) to feed monitor speakers with a digital plug. I'm probably gonna pull the trigger for this one at some point.
