FiiO has released the USBDAC JA11, with an initial price of only $9 (69RMB) and support for PEQ DSD128 PCM384

Some quick notes based on my unit.

1. Looks like the polarity is inverted, here's the impulse response (played 44.1k file, captured at 192k):

2. Under heavy use of 4G it doesn't tics/clicks like my Tanchjim Space but it has elevated noise floor:

3. It suffers from a similar clipping/limiting as my Samsung dongle:

Emm... I bought a USB dongle from another brand for only 25RMB (a little over $3) FRANSUN T2 Pro, and updated Firmware with Fiio's tools. Now it is recognized as JA11 and works well on both PC and Android phones……

I used REW to output a sinusoidal waveform and observed the output with an oscilloscope, but no clipping was found at maximum volume (32 ohm resistive load). I am a beginner, and I think I should learn from you how to measure.

No, I have not measured it. I was using a sound blaster xfi HD for the sweeps, I think the THD measurements will be limited by the card, but could give it a try tonight.
If you still have it hooked up, would you mind setting a peak at 1kHz with the parametric EQ in the fiio app and measure a FR sweep to check if you have the same "double frequency" bug I have? Thanks!
I have already forwarded this issue to the official customer service in the QQ group, and they said it is being fixed

The problem is with the files attached in the topic I linked to, not with a constant tone.

Not really surprising since, per you picture, the T2 Pro appears to use the same KT02H20 chip…. But it also means that the FW on these chips is not “locked”, tied to a specific OEM.
Great find!

LOL, i will try with Jcally JM12 when im home

To each their own but personally I would rather support the company putting effort into making this app work. Even at $14.99, once they iron out the rest of these bugs this device is pretty insane value in my opinion. Microphone and UAC1.0 support icing on the cake as well.

I see the JM12 at 7.5 eur in AliExpress too. I am tempted to get a couple more to have one dongle per headphone, but the power consumption, grrrr if it wasn't that, this would be perfect

JM12 get higher level than JA11, JM12 -0,48dBFS to get same level as before flashed but JA11 only -0,1dBFS to get same

This is a great question. I would also love to know. @trungdtmc posted some graphs above. Maybe someone will be able to compare them to other popular budget dongles. Unfortunately i am not tech savvy enough to accomplish Such a quest

Here are some result measuring. JM12 fake JA11 has better noise floor than stock and has higher level output, i had -0,48dBFS to get same level
yes, everything fine as JA11, also x2 freq bug :D
I also want to measure my device, but I don't know what tool to use? I imagine using a resistor as a load and using another sound card to measure the voltage?

Has anyone else noticed strange behavior with the voice preset? Not that I ever use it but it's noticeable because it's the default option. It always seems to be affected by the previous EQ I used. The default profile for it is totally messed up.
