Fiio FT1 Headphone Review

Voted happy panther.

I had the K371 for a little while and found them quite boring. Therefore I find the FR deviations here more of a feature than a bug. I am finding the FT1 very fun and engaging while still being clear enough.

I like them enough to FINALLY sell my DT 1770 Pro and Sony MDR V6.

I feel the same, these sound great especially for bass driven music and modern genres. The idea that you need SIX eq filters to make these usable is laughable to me, but to each their own I suppose. Build quality is a different story though, definitely not sold on that.

I'm currenlty testing the Focal Azurys next to my FT1 with Fiio's Suede pads (FT1B). They are similar in character, the main difference is that the Azurys pushes vocals way more forward, whereas the Fiio pushes them a bit back and wraps them in a thunderous rumble, which actually sounds good on some songs.

So, if bassy music and EDM is your thing, the Fiio FT1 is superior. Apart from that, the Focal Azurys is definitely more "refined".
