It looks like Fiio is slowly releasing this product to the market (already on Aliexpress, not official store).
At 19$ msrp I think this is the cheapest option from reputable company.
Product page doesn't disclose anything about the DAC, but I wonder what this community thinks based on the spec sheet.
It could be a fantastic option for smartphones with no headphone jacks (I hate dongles), and it should beat any smartphone build in jack which is good enough for me.

My only caveat is the placement of the clip (I believe it's the same for all devices). I would prefer the headphone output to point downward when clipped to the neckline.

Mine just came in the mail today. Paired it with my iPhone and the AAC sounded like shit. Paired it w my 2023 MacBook Air and confirmed it was streaming AAC at 131 kbps.

Anybody else have this experience?

I’ve had similar experiences w 2 other pairs of cheap IEM Bluetooth adapters (one from KZ and the other from TRN), but not with my Qudelix 5K, which streams at full AAC quality.

It’s a typical Fiio product, early users are the beta testers before Fiio get their head out of their arse and release updated firmware to fix the issues that are brought to their attention

yep; bought it to replace my older ubtr for use on my almost new windows 11 laptop and don't think it sounds as good as ubtr; doesn't amplify very much and at higher volume settings everything sounds a bit distorted and overmodulated; this even though ai says it actually has a dac/amp chip in it. ai suggested to update firmware but this is new, and besides update only available on android. very disappointing. anyone have any advice?

Apparently. there is also audible noise (white noise?) during quiet parts.
